Xiaomi 15T pro no background sync
So I have a new phone, installed Immich on it, logged on to my server and it does not ever seem to do any backup unless I open the app. I have allowed notifications but it never shows them. On my precious phone Galaxy S23 it works and shows notifications about checking new media, backing up media.
Do I need to activate something somewhere for this to work?

If this ticket can be closed you can use the /close command, and re-open it later if needed. We are not aware of any Xiaomi related issues, I know they have some sort of app security thing though, could that be interfering?
The notification won't persist now after the upload is finished afaik
I never see it and if I take a photo it never gets backed up UNTIL I open the app. Then it picks up the new assets and backs them up and also shows the notification
Do you mind try go to the upload settings, toggle the upload on cellular on for both videos and images
as well as reducing the time delay to 5 seconds
Can you take a screenshot of the notification settings as well as battery optimization of the app in native settings screen?
FWIW
Xiaomi is 2nd worst on the list of killing background worker
I am pleased to find out that on this Xiaomi I can finally run Accubattery with proper data recording without interruptions which made it useless on Samsung since some version.
soI am trying to make that video and seems like I broke it even more :-] Now Immich does not see the new photo and takes forever to backup the last video I made
hard restarting the app fixed it...
The new release fixes this issue
standard battery saver settings was there as is for everything. I try to change it to no limit and let's see
