Lily58 wireless battery/power issue

Hey! Just finished putting together a Lily58 Wireless kit. For both batteries, I stripped the wires (as per guide I received) and connected to the B+ and B- pins. Each half also has a power switch. When plugging each half in, I can see the half in order to load the firmware and the lights on the half are active. When unplugging and using the power switch, nothing happens - no lights or anything showing on the screen. The soldering on each power switch looks ok to me so not sure it's a solder issue but I can always go back and re-do if this could be an issue. Any ideas? Thanks!

Since you soldered the batteries to the B+ / B- pads on the nice!nano, the on‑board power switch on the Lily58 PCB is now bypassed. From the battery docs:
“…you can solder the battery directly to the B+ and B- pads on the nice!nano, but you'll no longer be able to use the power switch.”
(ref: build-guides/lily58-wireless/batteries) So flipping that switch will not turn the halves on/off anymore – that part is expected. What isn't expected is that nothing happens on battery at all. A few things to check: 1. Polarity - Confirm red → B+ and black → B- on each nice!nano. - If you’re unsure, stop plugging it in until you’re certain; reversed polarity can kill the cell/charger. 2. Is the battery being seen/charging? - Plug in USB to each half. - Do you see the small charging LED on the nice!nano light up? (Usually near the USB port.) - Leave it plugged in ~1–2 hours, then unplug USB and ignore the power switch; just tap reset or press keys. Does the display/keys come alive? 3. Solder joints - Reflow the B+ and B- pads on the nice!nano (both halves). - Make sure there isn’t a solder bridge between B+ and B- or to nearby pads. If after those checks the halves still only work on USB, it’s likely either: - a bad connection from battery → nice!nano, or
- damaged / dead cells. If you can, post close-up photos of the battery wiring on each nice!nano, or email them with your order info to hello@typeractive.xyz so we can inspect. You can also just reply to this message or tag me here and I’ll keep helping you debug.
