Editing Vehicle Nodes with DIgby Tool Crashes After A Few Node Edits

I tried Digby Tool to edit vehicle nodes tonight but I can only edit a few nodes before the game crashes. I'm attaching the crash dump from SMM to see if it helps resolve why this is happening.

This save had no issues prior to the addition of the Digby Tool and Vehicle Node Viewer mods tonight.

Looks like Vehicle Path Viewer is likely the culprit. Could you try without it? Actually, I just updated Vehicle Path Viewer. Grab the latest version and give it a test

Hi SirDigby, I'll take a look a little later today. Thanks for jumping on it so quick!

Hi again, I just tested it and got a crash after a few node edits again. I seems to be able to repeat it on a node that is adjacent to one I may have deleted earlier. Here's the latest dump:

This is after I updated to Vehicle Path Viewer available via SMM, of course. I'm going to run some additional testing, but I seem to be able to repeat the crash by choosing a node that may have been adjacent to one I had deleted earlier. Not sure how these are stored, but might it be expecting a node ID that isn't there? For example, if I have nodes 1,2,3,4,5, but then delete 3. Might editing 2 or 4 expect the adjacent one to be 3 when in fact it is 4 or 2 respectively? Just conjecture based on errors I've seen over the years in coding assumptions. Let me know if you want the save, but forewarning - I've got 75 mods loaded. I'm going to turn everything off except your two mods and see what happens next. I do not have "Any Path for Any Vehicle" mod loaded, which I just noticed is yours as well, FWIW.

I now have just three mods loaded - Vehicle Path Viewer, SirDigby Tool, and PAK Utiltiy Mod, and I'm crashing on the loading of the save. Here's that dump, but not sure if it is something not handled well because I removed 72 mods.

Thanks for the the info. I'll look into it Ok, your latest crash has something to do with conveyor belts, As for the vehicle path viewer, I couldn't recreate the crash by deleting a node and moving the next one around (or previous one)

Strange. I have no mods relating to modifying belts (e.g. no higher MK belts than vanilla). In any case, I've restored all the mods, gone back to my original save with Digby and View Vehicle Paths still installed and as long as I don't actually attempt to alter paths for vehicles, it runs stable. The good news is I only have the one route. Everything else is trains, so I doubt I'm going to run into this much unless I add more vehicles.
