Save project files on a hdd or ssd, does it matter?

Currently I am saving all my projects on my hdd. So I just wondered if it matters where I save my project files?

it matters for the same reason you purchased a SSD SSDs are much faster and better at random access

It's not going to matter a huge amount (unless you have very large projects) though. I'd put my Windows installation and games on an SSD before my code projects

I see Thats why they're a bit faster because they are directly connected to the mainboard

well no it's because the interface itself has higher bandwidth than sata there are m.2 drives that are sata and not nvme, the interface is what makes the difference in max speed
