Rampant status code 520's since CF outage on nov 18th

Several hours before the global outage on November 18 Cloudflare performed maintenance on the Frankfurt Germany location. My dedicated server at Hetzner appears to be routed through that node. Immediately after the maintenance began my server started returning 520 errors. The issue became severe to the point where refreshing any page results in a fifty percent chance of receiving a 520 response instead of the actual site.
Even after the global outage was resolved this issue is still ongoing till today. All API endpoints and subdomains hosted on the Frankfurt Germany infrastructure continue to intermittently return 520 responses at random.
Can you please advise on what steps I can take to resolve this. It is creating significant disruption for our services on that dedicated system.
