First lily58 build - no solder hotswap - wont turn on
Hi, I am able to drop firmware onto each side but no dice. When I toggle the keyboard off and then back on, I see two quick blue flashes and then nothing. Both sides. I can't find any information on this? Are both sides turning off immediately? Did I miss something obvious in the guide? Thanks

You didn’t miss anything obvious – what you’re seeing is actually normal behavior:
- Being able to drop the UF2 and seeing the blue LED flash twice on power means:
- The nice!nano is powered
- The bootloader and firmware are running
ZMK turns the LED off after boot to save battery, so there’s no “always‑on” power light. The next things to check: 1. Firmware - Did you use our Lily58 Wireless files, and the correct side (left vs right, with/without nice!view)?
You can grab them here:
https://docs.typeractive.xyz/build-guides/lily58-wireless/firmware 2. Left vs right - Only the left half connects to your computer over BLE. The right talks to the left.
- Try pairing only the left side first. 3. Pairing steps - Turn the left half on (switch up), unplug USB. - On your computer/phone, scan for new Bluetooth devices for ~30–60s. - You should see something like “ZMK”/“Lily58”. If you previously paired and removed it, you may need to clear the bond on the keyboard (

4. Quick USB test - With the power switch on, plug the left half into your computer via USB and try typing.
- If nothing happens, double‑check: - nice!nano is face down and firmly pushed into the no‑solder headers
- Headers are fully seated in the PCB
(Guide: https://docs.typeractive.xyz/build-guides/lily58-wireless/nice-nano) If you can tell me: - Which firmware files you flashed, and - Whether the left half works over USB at all, I can walk you through the exact next steps. Just reply to this message or tag me and I’ll keep helping.
