Are there "good quality" 2nd hand shops? (London)

Hey, I wanna start building a better wardrobe but I don't have much money for this stuff and I don't mind buying used, so I started visiting local charity and 2nd hand shops.
However, it's hard for me to spot quality because I'm a noob. I avoid stuff from brands like Primark and H&M, but beyond that metric I get a bit lost.
I recognise some better brands but not that many, and standing in the shop googling every other brand/maker gets tiring (and is quite fruitless most of the time).
Hence my question: are there any "good quality" 2nd hand shops that filter through lower quality clothing so that I can have safer picks as a newb? Or is that not a thing?
Thanks for any guidance
