Kensington Orbit how to disable middle click emulation or middle click entirely?
I have a Kensington Orbit Trackball and it is being detected as a Kensington Eagle Trackball, which might not matter but the "press left and right buttons for middle click" option is greyed out and I can't figure out how to force it off. I have done a lot of looking but I can't find a config file edit that works with the current distro that will let me either force disable middle mouse click emulation for this device, globally, OR just plain disable mouse middle click entirely globally. Yet another alternative would be to force it to use a different or generic mouse driver but I can't find a way to do that either.
Does anyone have an idea I can try? I'm fairly new to linux but not PC troubleshooting. The config edits I have tried so far have had no effect but I also don't know if they were correct.
For gaming, being stuck with middle click emulation on is not good so I've resorted to asking for help.
