fastfetch config.jsonc editing and how it wont let me

title says it all, the file is located in my home/.config and while i can open it and edit it, i cannot save it. tells me there isnt space (there is, which is also baffling)

is there a way to essentially force bash/fastfetch/ghostty to point/use an alternative config file instead since it simply will not let me save/write the one in the home/.config location? there isnt much to google, i just get steps on how to customize, not use an alternate. rip
