Exporting AI Gateway data to Datadog

hello, im looking to set up logpush for cloudflare ai gateway to datadog following this guide: https://developers.cloudflare.com/ai-gateway/observability/logging/logpush/.

is there a way to send these logs without encryption? it seems like datadog does not offer a way to decrypt them, and that would mean that the logpush job that i've created for these logs to be sent to datadog would be useless since they can't be decrypted at the datadog level

We have a beta feature that you can use to send data to Datadog

Under settings in AI Gateway you will find Otel export and you can setup Datadog Otel ingestion

is there any way to check on the cloudflare ai gateway side that the configuration for otel is being set up correctly and that logs are being sent over?

for some reason i don't see it appearing on my datadog dashboard when configuring the otel instrumentation following the link here: https://docs.datadoghq.com/llm_observability/instrumentation/otel_instrumentation

but when i attempt to send a sample log over http api: https://docs.datadoghq.com/llm_observability/instrumentation/api?tab=model, it works

I also realized that i can see the json payload logs being sent over when i put the endpoint as a webhook.site URL. i'm wondering if its the format being sent to datadog that is incorrect such that it cannot be parsed by datadog.

Were you guys able to successfully send logs from ai gateway to datadog via otel integration before? @Palash
