I need to manually re-add my External Drive to Steam every time I open it for the first time on boot

An external drive, as in USB? You'd need to setup automount for that, I think Bazzite's automount only handles internal drives

Make sure not to forget "nofail" in that list when you set it up

Also since you're running games off of it, the drive should be formatted btrfs or ext4
