Harsh edge where the water animation ends and the LODs start

Hey there,
Is there any way to smooth out the transition between vanilla water and the DH water? I've gone through all the settings and LOD Bias sounds like it should help but it doesn't seem to do anything. Some shaders have a perfect transition because the animation is on the DH water, too. Any way to achieve that with vanilla water?
