@Abse RE: calculate-packing. When we convert components that are relatively positioned into obstacles we're losing connection information (they are no longer used when determining placement). This is particularly bad when you have a microcontroller that is relatively positioned and none of the capacitors can "see" the microcontroller. To mitigate, I'm going to introduce
