Valve Index Multi Issue
Hey guys I’m having a problem with my valve index that I cannot seem to figure out.
Over the past month in bazzite, my experience with my valve index has gotten drastically worse.
The main issues I’ve been having
1) jitter toward the top of my vision. It only happens when i move my head and does not happen if i hit the home button on the controllers or if im in the loading area when starting a game.
2) the view desktop option crashes steam. I’ve not had access to it ever since switching to Bazzite but the crashing thing is new
3) For some reason I now have no audio. I have no idea why this happened or what occurred to have caused it. Bazzite just does not have an option at all for output and the mic no longer works
Completed Troubleshooting:
Plugged it into a different outlet
Reconnected every cord that connects to the computer
Unplugged and plugged the lighthouses into the electric outlet
Tried a different usb 3.0 port
Reset the valve index
Tried a different compatibility mode
Attempted to launch with different runtime options
Reinstalled SteamVR
Restarted the computer multiple times both with the valve index on and off
Disabled EasyEffects (this is to help with my new mic I bought an keeps my ceiling bird from activating the mic, smoke alarm beeping is the ceiling bird, waiting on apartment to reset it)
Distro version: Bazzite DX
Gpu: 3080Ti
CPU: i7-13700K
RAM: 32GB DDR5
The only thing I have yet to do is to rebase back to regular bazzite. The last time I had a proper go at vr was on regular bazzite and not bazzite DX.
Does anyone else have any ideas of what to do or has anyone run into this before??
Also I’ve already contacted Steam support but I doubt they’ll be able to help that much.
