Diagnosing HDR on Legion Go 2 and handhelds

Creating this thread to separate out a larger discussion from the general Legion Go 2 support thread.
In its current state, HDR PQ has been enabled and generally functions well, however brightnesses are inaccurate and mapped improperly. It appears this is a result of games detecting an incorrect max, avg, and min brightness values. Max nits shows as 1499 despite being 1107, avg brightness is close but off, and min brightness does not get stored.
These values are correctly read from the display's EDID by gamescope, however it appears the patched EDID created is not entirely correct, and beyond that, games are still receiving the wrong values.
This thread will likely be our efforts to identify and correct the source of this issue.
