Whitelist IPs & secure connections

Hello, i am trying to migrate from GCP to Neon, i m using obviously pg sql. I did try to search through the docs for my question & talk to the ai but no conclusive answers. How can i make sure i connect to my DB securely? On GCP, all internal traffic (from a gcp VM to a gcp SQL Instance for example) was done via gcp, not exposed to the internet, and to access my database i had my ip whitelisted. With neon, anyone that has the DATABASE_URL can just connect to it. While of course it's obviously a secret, i don't want the "secret" to be the only means of security, is there any option for IP Whitelisting? Also for vercel integration, does it automatically go through a tunnel like gcp without being exposed or it's the same as my local environment? Thank you.
