Easy Anti Cheat no longer detected (Chivalry 2)
I have been successfully launching Chivalry 2 in Linux Mint from my Epic library using the Heroic launcher for months, until the latest game update about a week ago. The game still launches, but I am unable to play because of an Anti Cheat violation message when I load in.
The anti cheat appears to be installed and running (as seen in the log) but the game does not detect it. I happen to own the game on Steam as well and it continues to work there without issues. Only Heroic has the issue.
Steps taken include:
Swapping Proton versions, trying all possible executables from the game folder, manually re-installing anti cheat from the wine terminal, resetting heroic settings, and reinstalling the game itself and heroic launcher
