Purpose of Serverless framework and edge runtime
Hello, just came across something "serveless" and "edge runtime", are these just fancy terms to say a server hosted by a particular service like cloudflare?
I read that compared to "traditional" way of doing things where we would set up a server and manage everything by our own, the "newer" way would be to pay as we go a third party service providing us with a server, the server still exist though, even though we say it's "serverless"?
