No EFI Partition option in drop-down menu during install

Hiyo, I'm trying to dual boot bazzite on a Lenovo laptop. Following the provided YouTube video on the bazzite.gg website.
1. I followed the steps on bazzite.gg to download an appropriate iso (desktop, Intel Xe, steam desktop version) and verified the checksum using 7zip, and shrunk the windows partition.
2. I burned(?) the image to a 128gb USB drive using Rufus in win11 and booted successfully from the USB.
3. After selecting a language and selecting to customize the partitioning, there's no option to create an EFI partition in the drop down menu.
I found another person with this problem (https://github.com/ublue-os/bazzite/issues/3034). They said it was because the flash drive partition scheme was set to MBR but mine was already set to GPT by default.
