Issues with laptop and external display
My setup:
-MSI Stealth GS77 Laptop with Nvidia 3060m
-Bazzite Nvidia DX Stable....KDE Plasma...desktop mode.
-Govee Sync Box 2
-Laptop HDMI port plugge into input on the Sync Box.
-LG C9 55 OLED TV plugged into the output of the Sync Box.
External display is set as the the primary.
For the most part things work but its finicky.
-sometimes the system recognizes the external display but its blank.
-other times it cycles back and forth from seeing the external display on not.
Only way to correct any issues is to reboot...and then it still sometimes does not work correctly with the external display., Usally 3 or 4 reboots and its ok.
I have replaced all the hdmi cables just in case.\
I temporarily removed the sync box and just plugged the laptop into the TV but still had the issues so do not think its the Sync Box.
When its working its working perfectly...games run fine using the dedicated GPU on the LG, etc.
Seems to be something finicky with Bazzite and laptop + external display.
Maybe something to do with having a iGPU and dGPU? Resoltion differences between the interal laptop screen and the TV? I have disables any screen savers , screen locking, screen dimming, etc so the laptop and internal screen are always one.
