VC Messes With audio quality

Ever since the last update whenever I join a party with party chat on or a game with vc my audio quality goes way down and it makes the game pretty much unplayable. This used to happen when I would connect my earbuds as the output and input device. But now it happens no matter what I do. I have a microphone that I connect to my input and headphones for my output and my audio still gets bugged.
