Storage quota exceeded warning despite low bucket usage

storage
Hey Everyone,

I’m running into a confusing storage quota issue and hoping someone can help clarify.

My dashboard shows “Storage size exceeded”, saying I’m at 300%+ usage, and that my grace period has started with a deadline of Jan 27.
But when I actually checked my storage using SQL on storage.objects, the total size of all my buckets is only ~28 GB.

From what I can see:

No bucket is unusually large

No massive files or sudden spikes

Nothing that explains a 300% overage

So I’m a bit confused about where this number is coming from.

Does anyone know:

How Supabase calculates storage usage for quotas?

If things like soft-deleted files, internal replicas, backups, or past usage can affect this?

Or if this could be a dashboard/reporting mismatch?

Any insight would be really appreciated, especially since the grace period is already ticking.

Thanks a lot!
