Can't launch moo ii in linux mint

So this is odd. I downloaded heroic today and it seems to be working to play quest for glory five with no issues so far. However trying to play masters of orion ii just makes it quit after two seconds. I thought maybe I had to be part of gamemod group so i made sure I added that with a sudo command and groups command in terminal now shows this
eugen adm cdrom sudo dip plugdev users lpadmin sambashare gamemode
Whereas before gamemode wasn't shown.
Now this is the launch log and i'm not sure what's going on as to why mooii won't launch. I've attached the log as a file here.
