Android App not working with HTTPS

I'm using cloudflare dns-01 and NPM, so no ports are exposed but cannot get the Android app to connect using https://immich.mydoamin.com or with the /api.
HTTPS works in the browser on all my devices, iOS mobile app works it's just android. I've tried creating a dedicated cert in NPM and a custom A record in cloudflare but still cannot get it to work.
Any suggestions?
It does work by ip address but I would like to use https for google cast.
