Suspend option from GUI no longer working in 43.20251231.1: Stable (GNOME)

The suspend function from the power dropdown doesn't do anything, no logs, no errors, clicking on it does nothing on the backend as if you didn't do anything at all
using systemctl suspend in terminal still works fine (and still triggers the black screen on waking up on nvidia gpus but that can just be solved by just inputting anything and it will wake up again fine)
