Controller issue

Hi, I’m on macOS (Apple Silicon, M-series) using Heroic Games Launcher v2.18.1.
I’m running Steam for Windows / The Witcher 3 via Heroic. The game shows
Wine: Whisky 2.5.0-0 (bundled/internal — I do NOT have the Whisky app installed separately).
Issue: My Cosmic Byte Nexus wireless controller works on macOS, but does not work inside Heroic/Wine.
Details:
• Controller is detected by macOS and works in other macOS apps/games
• Dongle connected, controller powered on
• Game launches and runs fine
• Controller also doesn’t work in Witcher 3 even after enabling controller in game settings
Question:
Is this a known limitation with generic / non-XInput controllers on macOS when using Heroic’s internal Whisky, even if the controller works natively on macOS?
