"custom-resolution-helper" not working correctly

I'm trying to set a 16:10 resolution on either a dummy plug or a virtual monitor. When trying to apply to either a DP or HDMI dummy plug, nothing happens and no resolution is added correctly. When trying to set them as virtual monitors to those same DP and HDMI ports with nothing plugged in. I can get a virtual monitor created but no matter what resolution/refresh rate I set them to, they have a max of 1024x768@60hz.
