Nvidia 590.44.01 (Bazzite) – Freezes & Crashes

Since the Nvidia driver switched to the 590 series, many games became unstable on my system (freezes and crashes, sometimes after a few minutes of play).
I’m considering rebasing to an older Bazzite image that still used the 580 driver, but I’m not sure which version is currently recommended as a fallback, or if I should just stay on 590 and wait for a fix.
Are other users with recent RTX cards (40‑series) experiencing similar freezes/crashes with 590 on Bazzite?
For those affected, did you decide to rebase to a previous image (if so, which one exactly?) or to stay on stable and wait for an upcoming update?
If a specific stable image with 580 is known to be safe for RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, I would appreciate the exact tag to rebase to.
