To receive the Live Role when you go live on Twitch, you must have Discord show your purple streaming status. Streamcord assigns the role based on that status — not directly from Twitch.
1. Link Your Twitch Account to Discord • Go to User Settings→ Connections→ Twitch • Make sure Display on profile is enabled.
2. Enable Streamer Mode • Go to User Settings→ Streamer Mode→ Enable Streamer Mode • This helps Discord recognize when you are streaming.
3. Allow Activity Sharing • Global: User Settings→ Activity Privacy→ Enable “Share your detected activities with others” • Server: Right-click our server icon → Privacy Settings→ Enable “Activity Status” These allow others and Streamcord bot to see your streaming activity.
4. Go Live on Twitch Once you’re streaming and Discord detects the stream, your status will turn purple and Streamcord will give you the live role automatically.
Tips / Common Issues: • Console streams may not show the streaming status: If streaming from console, open Discord on PC/laptop and keep it running while you stream.
• Non-affiliate Twitch accounts may not always show the streaming status: Affiliate/partner accounts typically work more reliably.
• If your role still doesn’t appear, try disconnecting and reconnecting your Twitch to Discord. streamcord docs
