Troubles with riot client

Yesterday I played Valorant without any problems, Riot launched without any issues as well. Today, however, it refuses to start and tells me that I have connection problems even though everything else was working fine. I decided to use a VPN, and the client launched. I'm from Russia myself, can you tell me what the problem is?
