Sideloaded itch.io game Siren failing to launch with dotnet errors

While trying to install

through winetricks, I get an error modal telling me I need to install .Net 4.8. Clicking "Yes" opens the Microsoft downloads page for .Net in the web browser, and the exact same modal comes up again almost immediately. The winetricks install appears to be progressing, going by the console frame. It appeared to have completed eventually.
