Uploads going to my home folder instead of specified folder in env file.

I've installed immich and the test photos I've uploaded are going to the default director in my home folder, not the directory I've specified in the .env file. I did originally install immich without modifying the env file, but have sense completely removed the container and reinstalled it. I'm running docker on Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS
I've confirmed that the system thinks my upload directly is the correct one, and yet uploads continue to appear in my default home directory instead of where I want them.
