unable to connect to free supabase db

I tried with both beekeeper sql gui and tableplus. I imported the url directy into both, says the supabase url not found.
I copied the direct connection url btw so it autofilled everything. even resetted the db pass to make sure, none worked.
I then make a db on koyeb.com, copy the connection url into tableplus, and it finally worked. Ive used supabase for multiple projects in the past and this is the first time this issue happened.
