Distant Horizons cause my game to have huge lag spikes (sometimes the game hangs for 10s, even). This is something that happens only on my PC with a modpack I made. No other player had this problem on Windows.
World chunks are already pre-generated (I'm connecting to a server), changing between ZGC and GC1 changes basically nothing, tried with nightly too, and the worse thing is that the only thing that fixes the lag spikes is removing the mod altogether from the client. Disabling the generation and rendering in the mod does nothing to fix the lag spikes and from what I can see on the spark profiling logs, it has something to do with networking or writting to the database.
Any ideas on how I can fix this problem? Thanks!
PS: A friend just installed Linux and started having this issue too, didn't happen to him while he was using Windows.
