Hey friends,
Got a wedding coming up in spring - need a suit.
It’s a casual-ish affair so I kind of want to get something unstructured, maybe workwearish (not a chore coat though), maybe in a fun color or fabric. I’m single/double breasted agnostic at this point in time.
Sizing requirements make it a bit tough. I need roughly a 40 inch waist with minimum 13 inch rise for the trousers and 23-24 inches across the chest, preferably without much of a taper for the jacket to fit okay.
I have Universal Works on my radar, waiting on their spring fabrics. I might default to one of their twills if all else fails.
We can keep the budget open but I think I want OTR. Availability in Europe is a must because of returns.
I’ve gotten recommendations so far for: Folk, Drakes, Albam, EG, Wax London, Service Works, Hansen. If y’all know anything else I’d appreciate it!
