Reading through the documentation, I think I understand, but to make sure:
* I support a store, mystore.com, on Shopify
* Instead of an A record for the root domain, I configure a CNAME with the name @ and the value of the store (mystore.shopify.com)
* Cloudflare will route the flattened domain normally as if the A record was performing the forwarding. As such, no A record is required to route traffic to the flattened mystore.com to the store I support.
Am I understanding the flow correctly? Do you actually not need an A record for the flattened domain to respond? It just goes in the face of how I normally manage domains so it's giving me pause.
