Weird mouse capture issues

Running the standard desktop Bazzite, 5800X3D+7900XTX. If I alt tab back into a game, I can click one time in game menus and then the mouse becomes unusable until I alt tab again. Tested in Risk of Rain 2 (where my mouse completely disappears after the first click) and Hunt Showdown (where I can still see the cursor, but the game acts as if it is not there). Once I am actually "in" a game, looking around and shooting with M1/M2 works as expected, but I still cannot click in the pause menus. I tried restarting my PC, updating Bazzite, Proton Experimental, none seems to have any effect.
