I've been feeling a bit lost for a while when it comes to my fashion direction. I have a bad habit of basically just buying individual pieces that I think are cool, but then I never really have any ideas on how to wear them. I also just love buying shit a bit too much, but without a guiding vision or goal it all ends up kind of being aimless.
I think the problem is that the clothes I like are a pretty wide spectrum. I've recently really enjoyed wearing like, a tie and a denim jacket. I love the way it makes me feel and if I had to guess why I'd say it's probably backlash to never having to really dress up professionally. For inspo here I've been looking at fits from like soup or digs. But on the other end I also love huge flowy clothes, like yohji, sillage, anglan. I love the drama and the drape.
The thing I'm really struggling with here though is putting it all together. I am missing the sauce. Instead of really getting good at one thing, I am bad at multiple things. I like a lot of stuff, I love buying stuff, like I have a pair of guidis open and also an Hermes tie on ebay, but I'm struggling to make all of the aesthetics I pull from coherent. I'm going to post below some fits I like on my myself and some fits I don't. Would love some inspiration, as well as direction and advice.
