"Muffled" sound

Whenever I play any audio be it on youtube in Vivaldi/Firefox or in VLC/Haruna, the sound is very muffled. Whenever there is music and voice in the video, I can hear the background music very well, but not the voice. If there is only voice, I hear it very quietly. I have two desk speakers connected via a splitter to line out jack in my soundcard. I also tried using FiiO E10 as an output device but it didn´t have any effect. Whenever I connect my BT headphones, everything works well. Does anyone please have any idea what I should do? Thank you

So after a bit of experimenting I have selected the Analog stereo profile, installed Easy Effects and enabled Volume and Equalizer effects and without doing anything else the problem disappeared
