I’m looking for guidance from the community on a Supabase login/account recovery issue.
Context:
I originally created my Supabase account and projects using GitHub OAuth with a personal GitHub account.
I later converted that GitHub personal account into a GitHub organization.
After the conversion, the original personal GitHub identity no longer exists as a standalone login.
Problem:
When I now try to log in to Supabase using GitHub OAuth, Supabase does not recognize my original account.
Instead, it treats me as a new user and prompts me to create a new, empty Supabase account.
I no longer have access to my existing Supabase organization and projects tied to the old GitHub personal account.
I do not have an alternative login method (email/password) attached to that Supabase account.
Impact:
I’m fully locked out of existing projects.
I’m also unable to upgrade the account or enable Priority Support because I can’t log in.
What I’m asking:
Has anyone successfully recovered access in this scenario?
Is the only solution to recreate the old GitHub personal account, or can Supabase manually re-link the account to a new GitHub identity?
Any confirmed steps or timelines based on real experience would be appreciated.
I’ve already contacted Supabase Support with these details but haven’t received a response yet, so I’m hoping for community guidance or confirmation of the correct recovery path.
