Gyro controls won’t stay disabled

I’ve tried fully disabling gyro controls. They seem mostly off in Desktop Mode, but in Gamescope UI and in games the gyro turns back on intermittently.
I’ve also noticed that lightly touching the right touchpad can trigger the gyro behavior.
I’d really like to use these controllers since the ergonomics are great on my OG Legion Go, but for now I’m stuck using the original controllers.
