FF16 not starting in gamescope/scb

Been messing around with getting gamescope working on my desktop bazzite, and after trial and error I figured out my basic config using FF15 and Forza Horizon 5. But when I try FF16, I can't get in game. It launches the fullscreen with the splash logo, goes gray and then closes to desktop. It leaves a gamescopereaper process in the system after it crashes. Any ideas?
Scb config is set for -f --mangoapp --force-windows-fullscreen with AUTO RES/HDR/VRR. Also using the LD_PRELOAD= in steam launch commands before scb -- %command%
Removed the launch options and the game launches fine. Tried adding the options after launching without and it goes back to not working.
