Jedi Survivor wont launch Unhandled Exception: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION reading address 0xffffffff

I am using the latest version of proton GE. I have also tried CachyOS Proton as per the protonDB suggestions for bazzite, but the game crashes during the load to menu with this same error everytime.
