Are mythic weapons not limited time anymore?

It says Mythical weapons were for a limited time, but the time doesn't really seem so limited to me. It also says every 5 minutes someone will have a chance at getting a mythic weapon (doesn't have to be in afk mode). Is this true or nah. And if it is, is it perma or temp mythic.
