Winboat connection to localhost

question

So im running streamer.bot on winboat (wine "worked" but had a handful of ui issues, and bugs that made it worth running a vm)
My current issue is connecting to my obs websocket, ive tried both just "localhost" and my systems local ip but neither successfully connected
i assume i need maybe a virtual network or something to connect them but im really not sure
