Severe system degredation on system boot suddenly

Bazzite Desktop suddenly started giving severe performance issues on boot-up. There's about a 10 second window before inputs and the desktop lock-up and process commands at a slow rate (clicking open the terminal will happen later or opening the application launcher happens several seconds later.
No significant changes from previous boots over the last day aside from DWproton install for an application (worked yesterday with no issues).
Look like Version 43.20260120.1 is current. Unsure if this update would've been present before.
Looking for help troubleshooting the desktop lock-up. Majority applications are fine if they open
