TV Remote Control Steam Gaming Mode with CEC

I would like to be able to navigate steam gaming mode on my HTPC with the TV remote. I'm using the Pulse-eight adapter. I have confirmed that the controls are passed to Kodi in desktop mode, but it seems neither Jellyfin nor Steam are set up to register as CEC clients accept inputs that way. My goal is to be able to wake the HTPC by selecting the input from the TV and navigate to Jellyfin (added to steam as a non-steam application) to get full codec support. Is there a way to enable CEC for steam gaming mode?
