What button up shirt would go with these LL Bean Maine Guide Wool pants?

I picked these up recently and like them, but finding them a bit difficult to figure out a good button up shirt color/fabric to go with. I think the heaviness of them calls for sweaters, but I’d like to figure out a button up shirt. Any suggestions on color/pattern/fabric?
