Hello,
It appears I’m running into a bit of trouble with the Bazzite operating system and wanted to see if I could get some help. First, my specs.
I have a Gigabyte Aorus Pro B850I ITX motherboard, a Ryzen 7 9700X, a Radeon RX 9070 XT, 32 GB DDR5 RAM from G Skill, and a Samsung 990 Pro 4 TB SSD.
Since I’ve had Bazzite a couple months ago, it had booted up just fine, but since yesterday, I’m running into a problem where Bazzite won’t boot anymore. I was able to temporarily boot into Bazzite by loading ostree:1. When I did that, I ran rpm-ostree rollback, then sudo ostree admin pin 0. After this, I noticed that Bazzite was on 42, so I updated to run Bazzite 43 update from a few days ago. I’m still having issues getting Bazzite to boot when starting up. I do notice that when I run ostree:0 though, it tends to work. Bazzite 43 is shown as the firmware version.
Here’s the image I am seeing when booting. It’s supposed to show Bazzite loading at the bottom. It will hand forever. I let it try to boot for 30 minutes.
Typically, there’s two ostree options in the GRUB menu (0 and 1) but I notice there’s now a 2.
Any idea what’s going on and how I can fix this? Thanks for any and all help.
