Apex 9 TKL Keyboard not showing up in OpenRGB

Hello, new adopter here and i am having a small issue with my RGB.
My steelseries apex 9 tkl is not showing up in OpenRGB. Other devices are picked up (mouse , gpu , motherboard ) work fine.
I checked in the udev rules file and apex 9 tkl shows up with the proper id from what i can see. However when i check in the openrgb gui i don't see this as a supported device. On the openrgb website it's listed as supported. i have the latest open rgb version.
I installed openrgb with ujust which i think handles the udev rules too.
Another strange thing i noticed that Bazzite listed it under mouse in system settings.
Any idea of how can i get it to be detected.
